Robert Stack was born in 1919 and he is still working? jeez all i know is im retiring when im 55, im not working any more than i have to. thats one strong guy. he doesnt even look like hes in his 80s.. hes already made about 4 movies in 2002 so far. i jst wanted to post this and god bless Robert Stack for still working. hes older than my granfather!
He sure is. In fact, he's not the only person over 70 to be still professionally active. Examples: Mike Wallace of 60 Minutes will be 84 in May; Dick Van Dyke, 76, appeared in a post-series Diagnosis Murder TV-movie entitled "A Town Without Pity" in February, and will reappear in another one ("Without Warning") which should be seen on CBS sometime within the next few weeks; and, Hume Cornyn (who will be 91 in July) starred in a made-for-cable movie called "Off Season", which aired this past December.
These are interesting examples of people who continue to work even past the typical retirement ages. My guess is that people like Robert Stack, as well as the ones I just mentioned, will probably continue on with their respective professions until they are no longer able to. :)
