Ozzy Osbourne?? How did he almost die???

Does anyone know how Ozzy Osbourne almost died??? I just saw previews for Extra tomorrow and he said I dont know how I'm still here or something like that. I cant wait until tomorrow to know!! Any ideas??

I dunno. I was watching The Osbournes the other day... the one where Kelly got a tattoo... and Ozzy was talking about how one of his got infected and how his arm swelled up like a beach ball. That's the only bad thing... physically... I've heard about him. I dunno then.. I'll have to watch that tomorrow!

I don't know either. Those tabloid shows will like get u all excited & interested & then it turns out to be nuthin! I really like The Osbourne's show because I think they are funny! My family would get right along w/ them! LOl Well, I don't know, maybe something did almost kill Ozzy. Anyone notice the way he shuffles around his house & the way his eyes look? I thought maybe he was just burnt-out! He seems like a good dad tho. :wave:

He might very well simply be referring to the lifestyle of a rock star. He (as are others in the business) is probably amazed that he survived all the abuse he subjected himself to.

In the previews for the ep tommorrow night of The Osbournes, Ozzy sounds really weird. You cant make out a word he's saying.. he's just slurring a bunch of words. Who knows maybe he was just drunk or something.

Ozzy's clean now - he hasn't taken a drink or done drugs in years. He always slurs like that when he talks! :lol:

OMG! Was this recent?! He almost died?! I only remember seeing when he bit a head off a real bat and had to be tested. I didnt know this! IM SUPPOSED TO BE OBSESSED PEOPLE! LOL.

No, this wasnt his normal slurring. If you saw the preview you would think something is wrong with him... you couldnt make out a single word.. he wasnt speaking in sentences.. just jibberish. I know he talks funny all the time but this wasnt his normal talking funny.

Ozzy was one of the hardest drinking men in Rock and Roll, not to mention the enormous amout of drug abuse, and his trembling hands and slurred speech are a result of that, so I'm sure his party lifestyle brought him close to death a bunch of times.

With all the attention he's getting on MTV, I'm sure VH1 will be rerunning their "Behind The Music" episode about him which recalls his lengendary exploits (biting the head off a dead bat - he was so wasted, he thought someone threw a rubber one on stage; urinating on the Alamo in Texas - he's still banned from that state) so be sure to keep an eye out for it.

Still, he seems like a very reasonable Dad.

Okay, now I remember what they must have been talking about.
Ozzy's guitarist Randy Rhodes was flying in a small passenger plane dangerously low, and the plane crashed, very close to either a house or a tour bus where Ozzy was just sleeping in.

Ozzy is just hilarious. ANYTHING goes wrong and it's "SHARON!!!!!" I love him to death.

Sharon seems like the greatest mother in the world. I love her to death, too!

Jack wouldn't be all too bad on the weekends... but I don't like him too much.

Even though I don't like Ozzy's music, I love "The Osbournes." It makes me feel bad that I don't cuz I feel like a poser. :(

Karli, the Osbournes airs on MTV, but I am not sure of the days or times. And to answer who exactly Ozzy Osbourne is, he's a musician. Former lead singer of Black Sabbath who later went on to a successful solo career. He plays metal/hard rock type music, though it's not really heavy IMO, but it is kind of dark. He headlines his annual music carnival thing called "Ozzfest".

Yes, in the very early 80s. ozzy was sleeping on the bus. Randy was in the plane. they were messing about and the pilot lost control. the plane hit the bus, then crashed into a mansion.
really messed up; ozzy said that randy had just been telling him that he would like to quit playing soon and go to school at ... UCLA?
Randy Rhoades had classic guitar training
and was considered one of the best -- even though he was in his early 20's.
As a youngen, Randy founded the group Quiet Riot.

I don't know if it's still in print, but ozzy but out a documentary several years ago called, "Don't Blame Me" or something like that. It is VERY good. Been a huge fan of sabbath / ozzy for over 20 yrs. and back then, he/they got about zero media exposure or airplay, so pretty much all you heard was a bunch of lies. Documentary tells a really good, honest and brutal story.

Goin to my 5th or 6th ozzfest in august. Rock and roll!!!!!!!!!

I THINK you can get "Don't Bame Me" at music stores, but I know u can get it online because I saw it. Randy Rhoads was the best. I think it is sad that he died because he was just like, getting ready to go to school and everything. And besides if he were still alive hed put all these new bands that call themselves "punk" but sound like NYSYNC or however u spell it, to shame. Go Randy, Go Randy... wait, i think i know which incident the news could be talking about. when i was real little, i read an article in my older brothers playboy magazine. they had a whole feature on ozzy -- early 80's. he talked about when he was little, he saw a movie where this guy hung himself, so he tried to hang himself. his dad caught him and beat his @ss. very old story, but i flipped by a channel and heard them talking about this a month or so ago, pumping it up and sensationalizing it like it happened yesterday.

hey, i scanned one of my real old ozzy posters that i saved from metal edge magazine or hit parade, cant remember - ive got a ton of them. i dont remember if the baby he's holding is kelley or aimee - probably kelley.

I heard he tried to kill himself a few times, but i've only heard about that one time. He prolly ALMOST died alot of times, he had a really risky lifestyle when he was younger.
