Dorothy's ex-husband

I'm confused about Stan Zbornak,,,Dorothy's ex-husband.

I know he left Dorothy to marry Chrissy who was half Dorothy's age. He later married Catherine...whatever happened to Catherine?

Stan also asked Dorothy to remarry him...was this before or after he married Catherine?

BTW,,I used to really hate Stan,,but now he really cracks me up when I watch the reruns on Lifetime...the Stanley eps are some of the funniest and the actor who portrays him is really quite entertaining in the role.

It was kewl that he was the driver in the series finale eppie when Dorothy married Lucas.

Catherine and Stan broke up. In the episode from the 5th season, Have Yourself a Very Little Christmas, this is explained. In the 6th season is when Dorothy and Stan almost remarried.

Herb Edelman portrays Stan Zbornak. Interestingly, he portrayed a character much like Stan on an episode of Maude, which also starred Bea Arthur.

I always thought he deserved better billing in the show -- like his name up with the girls. I guess since he wasn't in EVERY episode they did it that way, but he did play a major role...
