Hey, I'm new around here, and so glad I discovered these boards! :)
Admittedly my favorite TV decade is the '80s, but I love some older shows too, including "I Love Lucy". Though to me, it's "I Love Ethel". ;) Yup, Ethel's my favorite---she's just so lovable, and sometimes really cracks me up.
I haven't seen all the episodes, but quite a few of 'em. So far, the funniest moment from the series for me is from an episode in California; the one with Rock Hudson. When Lucy is tryin' to climb down from his balcony onto hers while Ethel watches for her, and then Ricky comes in and Ethel distracts him while Lucy falls---oh God, that was the most hilarious thing I'd seen in ages! :rotflmao:
And though Lucy herself is known for her slapstick and wild humor---which I enjoy---I really get a kick out of her more subtle humor and wit. I've got about 6 of the (Columbia House? I can't remember the company, just the episodes) tapes, and enjoy those from time to time. And it's really great to see ILL on TVLand now, too.
Well, just thought I'd give a little info on Me & "Lucy". :)
Later,
Byron
