According to an article at http://www.lasvegassun.com/sunbin/stories/leisure/2002/mar/15/513179157.html

it says this:

Anderson's well-publicized conflicts with his parents and 10 siblings are, in part, responsible for his being asked to host "Family Feud," which recently completed its third year of syndication and begins taping the fourth year in May.

So that means he's hosting it for a 4th year and will not be replaced.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but it doesn't ever say "Louie is back for season 4 definitely" does it?

No, it doesn't say anything about Louie returning for another season, and I've been reading more and more stories about "Feud" ratings being way down this season and speculation about Louie being replaced. The fact that Pearson is not publicly commenting doesn't bode well for Louie.

TV Guy, if they were to replace Louie, who do you think they will go with?

I still love this show after all of these years, I really think the game trancends the host. To me it is all about the families competing and less about who is hosting the show.

First of all, the article is about Louie. It says that production of The Family Feud will begin in May of this year. So that may meen he wont be replaced!

All it says is that taping for a fourth season starts in May. And Pearson hasn't publicly commented on who the host will be, so things are still up in the air.

My guess is that if Pearson does decide to replace Louie, they'll go with another comedian, but someone a little younger and less laid-back.

I've read that Mark Curry (Comedy Central's "Don't Forget Your Toothbrush") has tried out as Louie Anderson's replacement on "Family Feud"

I'm 50% sure that this would be a false rumor with Bob Barker retiring.

The Mark Curry tryout was reported in Variety and on tvgameshows.net

Exactly, I also heard about Mark Curry trying out for host of Family Feud. It is not a rumor if it was both reported in Variety and on tvgameshows.net. Just because it says Feud will be taping its fourth season in May, that doesn't mean it will be with Louie.

But still the article's about Louie. Maybe he will host the 4th season. Hopefully. Let's all hope that!

Supposedly, Doug Davidson, who's on "Young and the Restless" and who hosted a short-lived syndicated "Price is Right" in the 1990s, has also tried out as the new "Family Feud" host.
