Of course cigarette ads have been banned from tv for years ( really decades ). My question is why are beer commericals still are allowed to advertise on tv & radio. Drunk driving kills thousands every year
( last year we just had 6 kids die in a car wreck caused by a drunk driver- a school teacher no less- in fact one of her students were in the other car.)
and many folks cant handle their drinking
yet tv& radio is full of spots for Coors Light, Bud, Miller, Icehouse ect.. I even heard that in some markets hard liquor is allowed to advertise on tv. Why?
Banning cigarette ads of course is a good thing, they do cause cancer and other health problems. But Beer/ Liquor is bad too. Should their ads be banned too? I say yes.
