The #1 song the day I was born in England was "Crying"by Don Mclean. I had never thought about that before. This is a interesting post. Also I'm using green because it is my favorite color. Also because it is March. Only 15 days till St. Patrick's Day.

I can't believe y'all have never heard of the Pet Shop Boys.
As for the Shout song, the Tears for Fears version goes "shout....shout....let it all out....these are the things....[something something] without... or about..." or something like that....
Newhart Fan, if you go back to that site, it says that if you were born before the charts began, you can look up your "Life's Themesong", which was the #1 song on your 18th B-Day.
~*~*~*~
On my birthday:
US: Kiss You All Over by Exile (never heard of song or band)
UK: Summer Nights by John Travolta And Olivia Newton John (I can live with that! :D I love John Travolta!)
Now, my life's themesong literally makes me want to cry. In the US, the #1 song on my 18th birthday was Macarena by
Los Del Rio. :crying: In the UK it was Breakfast At Tiffany's by
Deep Blue Something. I can live with that one.

I know.
It's just that you realize you're not a kid anymore when people are posting on webboards saying "This and this happened when I was born" and you can actually remember it happening. I remember when most of these songs were new and got a sickening amount of radio airplay.
I realize I don't need a walker just yet. Maybe next year.

"the day mama socked it to..the Harper Valley PTA" was number one the day I was born in 1968.
My parents ( both gone now ) for some reason saved the copy of TV Guide the week I was born. Cover has been missing for some time but at the exact time I was born if you were watching tv in the washington/Baltimore area you had these choices...
The Hollywood squares, F-Troop, Girl Talk with Virginia Gram, December bride, Dennis the menace, Ruff & ready, Clair & Co-Co ( local kids show featuring a girl and her poodle ), Today in Maryland (news ), Mike Douglas, Wrestling, and Maury Povich.
Almost as much variety then as there is now and we are talking 34 years ago.

Lol, you guys are funny. But hey, some of the songs mentioned, I remember when they came out, and I don't consider myself old. Of course, these are songs from the 80s not the ........ JK. :p
Anyways, here are mine:
UK - Give It Up --KC and the Sunshine Band--I'm actually not familiar with that song of there's--I can't sing it to myself now anyways. Maybe if I heard it...)
US - The Police -- Every Breath You Take --Definitely know that one, but strangely, I thought it came out in 84. That's always what MTV used to say (when MTV actually played older stuff). Maybe the top 10 video of all time for the song didn't come out until 84. ???? Anyone know?
