Dar Williams less for her voice (which is still good) but more for the incredible intelligence, wit, and insight she brings to her music
Ann Wilson of Heart fame. I just like her voice, and she sings in the same range I do, so I can almost match her perfectly. And ya just gotta love basically the only commercially success female-lead hard rock group of all time!
Mary Chapin Carpenter I just like her.
Janis Joplin less for her voice and more for the incredible energy and passion she brought to her singing
