Lisa Whelchel was originally going to play Rachel here on F.R.I.E.N.D.S but then turned it down? I met Lisa and thats what she was saying during her so-called speech during Church time.

I hadn't heard that. I can see how the idea might have been tossed around because the characters of Blair (played by Lisa Welchel) and Rachel are somewhat similar – both are spoiled rich girls. However, I'm surprised the creators of Friends even considered Lisa. I would think they would have known she would not want to play the character of Rachel, since her personal beliefs kept her from appearing in 'The Facts of Life' episode where Natalie lost her virginity. It's not surprising Lisa turned it down.
