i think they really messed up on Vivian's relationship with Chuck because I remember in the episode where Maude was pregnant, Vivian was still married to chuck and Maude said "we've been through six husband together. your two, my four." and i thought maybe vivian was married before Chuck but then in a much later episode when they went to their old school Vivian and Maude both remarked that it was where Vivian met Chuck.
of course Maude's husbands were all screwed up but that's because the producers became confused with the four of them. in one episode their dead and in another one of them is back in her life. it's crazy.
