Tropical Storm Isaac has formed in the Atlantic Ocean off Martinique, and is heading tword The Dominican Republic and Haiti, possibly as a Hurricane. It will then cross Cuba and cross the Straight of Florida, then regenerate into a Hurricane before entering the Gulf of Mexico. It is then predicted to run up the west coast of Florida. Since I live in the Daytona Beach area I will probably see come "Action" from this storm. Taking no chances today I stocked up on Emergency Supplies and made sure the Generator I bought after Hurricane Charley in 2004 is operational. I pray for all of my fellow Sitcommers Online who may be in the path of this storm, and advice you take whatever measures you need to in case this storm comes your way. Be prepared, if you live along the Gulf or Atlantic Coast it's not "If" a Storm will hit, It's WHEN!

I guess I have lived in FL too long but I am not at all concerned about Issac. It's only a tropical storm and even if it becomes a Cat. 1, eh, that still doesn't even bother me. I only live 45 min south of you, about 20 miles inland. The only thing I have as far as hurricane supplies is a few gallons of water and some canned goods in the pantry.

Doesn't hurt to be prepared :D I was caught off-guard when Charley hit in '04, so I vowed to never let that happen again! If the storm goes elsewhere, the stuff i buy will just get "floated' into general usage, so it won't get wasted. The Gas for example will go in my Scooter or my Lawn Mower, and will last into the New Year!

Regulus, I'm sure you're getting what we're getting. It started raining late last night and it has not stopped since!!! Plus we're getting thunder and lightening once in a while, too, which I thought was odd with a tropical system. Thankfully I haven't heard of any tornado sightings.

Yup, it's been raining all day here in Daytona. Radio says it's going to rain all week!
Hope it doesn't do much damage.

I am not at all concerned about Issac. It's only a tropical storm.
Even Tropical Storms can reek havoic on cities. Back in June 2001 Tropical Strom Allison hit here and we had 26 Feet of water on one of the freeways. They showed on the news people getting up on top of Semi 18 wheel trucks and roofs trying to avoid drowning in the excessive amount of water.
I hope that whereever Issac hits that it won't be bad.
