I'm excited that MeTV will be showing Make Room for Daddy; however, the time-slot (5:30 AM) is hugely disappointing. My question is, why hasn't this program been shown in syndication more? I'm pretty sure the last time it was shown regularly (according to my research) was in 1989, two years before I was born. Most people in my generation wouldn't be able to tell you who Danny Thomas was, which I find incredibly sad. I became a fan of the show by taking a chance and buying the DVDs and I truly love it! I've heard that this was one of the most popular shows of its time so why is it that Make Room for Daddy is largely forgotten?

I'd be more excited if I thought I'd be able to watch it. My Me-TV affiliate has Ag Day on at 5:30 AM. If it came on at 5 I'd get it unless the channel is going to change it's lineup....same with Donna Reed. :ohno: I've only seen one episode of the show and that was TAGS spin-off episode.

I agree. Most people under the age of 30 couldn't tell the difference between Danny Thomas and Thomas Edison. While I thoroughly enjoyed the Father's Day marathon on MeTV and look forward to seeing it regularly, it's easy to see why this show hasn't been seen much in syndication for the last 20-30 years. It simply hasn't aged like I Love Lucy or The Dick Van Dyke Show. The plots and writing speak to a bygone era that most people can't even fathom.
