Fox’s New Girl has tapped Parker Posey to guest star in the show’s Season 2 premiere on Sept. 25, TVLine has learned exclusively.
The indie goddess, who garnered raves for her recent arc as Louis C.K.’s unhinged love interest on FX’s Louie, will play a “shot girl” at a party to celebrate the removal of Schmidt’s penis cast.

Who's that (shot) girl? It's indie film queen Parker Posey guest starring on New Girl's September 25 season premiere.

After Schmidt gets his penis cast removed (remember his injury from last season?), he throws himself a "rebranding" party, enlisting the help of veteran shot girl Casey and newly unemployed Jess.

"Jess begs him to hire her too, but she doesn't really know what a shot girl is," says Deschanel. "She's not really comfortable with this, but she's trying to make the best out of a bad situation."
