I guess why waste a new show that could be a hit (on a better night)? They need some filler show to put on Fridays and "Whitney" seemed like a good enough choice.

It just doesn't make sense to me to renew a show just to be filler. Is that what NBC has resorted to?

Why are you posting stuff from Deadline when it is already posted at this very own site since 1:45PM? And also on the Whitney board it has been posted already about the move.

Why do you even care Pav? This is an NBC show.

This is SitcomsOnline. If Deadline had a message board, they wouldn't want information posted from another site if they did a story too, would they? You spend a lot of time on other websites, then come here and post when we already have the news? Spend some time here first.

It's not silly. We're running a website. JamesG, who also posts stories from other sites, uses our stories first if we did it.

It is silly because more than anything you post your affection to ABC on the boards you monitor yet I doubt that ABC is paying this site a dime.

What does my posts on a message board have to do with news like this? We do stories that cover every network, which you don't know because you are on other sites and come here and start posting those links when we already did that story. My posts and opinions on a message board are my own thoughts, they are not a news story. The NBC schedule is NEWS!

You for some strange reason have it out for me.

I don't have it out for anyone, Brian. I asked you many times before to please (I asked very nicely) stop posting from other sites when we already covered the story. If JamesG can do it, why can't you? And then you just bring it back to ABC for some reason, when this has nothing to do with them. I don't get it and I don't care if you like ABC or not. Wouldn't you be ticked if you had asked someone not to do something and they didn't listen?

You act like this isn't personal.....When it obviously is....but okay, I promise to read your blog more carefully....

It's not only the blog. The schedule is on this message board on the General board. Same place where all fall schedules have been since like 2002. You know this. I think you take it personally for whatever I do when you don't even read anything I post regarding news, but yet you bring it back to ABC every single time. So please don't say I'm taking it personally.

Pavan, you're being silly. All Brian was trying to do was strike up a conversation about the logistics of moving Whitney to Friday nights, not start World War III by posting a link to a story from a well-known and respected entertainment blog. Brian has a wonderful talent for taking news stories and trending topics and turning them into lively discussions here on the board, and that's exactly what he was trying to do here.

That your feelings were hurt is your problem, not his, since doing so was the furthest thing from his mind when he posted this topic. I think you're being childish, Pavan, and that you owe Brian an apology.

Not everyone reads the schedules on the General forum or reads the blog. They go to the show's forum. Articles from various sources are more interesting. Brian does have a knack for posting good articles, and Pavan has a lot of knowledge when it comes to schedules and the blog. There's no reason why we can't have it all. TJ has thanked Brian for posting articles quite a few times. You're both trying to help the site.

the whole network is filler - i think they are just keeping it alive now (the network - not Whitney) to advertise the 2012 Olympics that they are going to lose their shirts on.

I was beginning to enjoy watching 'Who Do You Think You Are' on Friday nights. It was interesting and it gave us a chance to learn about history and geneology. But they go and repace it with two lame sitcoms. Go figure...

I'm in the minority here because I actually thought Whitney was funny. So I'd record it no matter which night they moved it to, it's just nice to know they gave it a second chance. They should move American Idol, The Voice, etc. to Friday & Saturday nights since they already have such a huge following.

Agreed. I've appreciated the stories that Brian has posted countless times.

I am also a big fan of the show. I was a huge fan of Whitney's before the show started, so I was a bit biased, anyway, but I ended up truly enjoying the show.

i like whitney too i personally think that the reason nbc chose to renew whitney is to keep whitney cummings around at nbc in the hopes that she will create a hit sitcom for them at some point after al she did co create 2 broke girls wich weather people love it or hate it has been a huge hit for cbs

Not saying Brian shouldn't post articles. I'm happy that he does. But if we post a story, that should be used instead. That's all I'm saying.
