Fox Renews "Bones" for Eighth Season

"Bones" will stick around on Fox for another year.
The veteran procedural, which has had an abbreviated and broken up seventh season due to lead Emily Deschanel having a baby, was renewed for another run on Thursday.
It marks the first official order for the coming season from Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly.
"Over the past seven seasons, Hart Hanson, Stephen Nathan and the incredible 'Bones' cast and crew have redefined the traditional crime procedural with an irreverent and adventurous sensibility," said Reilly.
"I’m really happy to have this distinctive, fan-favorite on our schedule for another season."
Spin-off "The Finder" recently debuted in "Bones'" old Thursday timeslot, having since been moved to Fridays, but has not matched its parent series consistent showing in ratings.
"Bones" returns from its winter hiatus, in a new night and time, on Monday, April 2.
