Solomon, that is twisted! LOL. However, I do agree with you about Ann Brookes. LOL. The actress was 50's movie actress where she played a young girl in a lot of scary movie flicks. It's funny, though. The show is not as bad to me this time around. It could have used some punching up but I can watch it. It has had some funny moments.

They should have had one member of the trio appear alone after they all appeared together. jack one month and then janet and chrissy and one more by Larry

They should have had Larry join the cast.

The show wasn't great but it did have funny moments. I think in the end ,The Ropers were better supporting characters then lead characters. What made Stanley so funny in TC was his relationship with Jack and that was absent here. The supporting characters weren't that strong. Ann was hot but she wasn't funny. lol

Yeah his jokes about his wife were only funny on TC because they were not seen that often. It got OLD quick when they got their own show.
I mean AL Bundy made fun of Peg but they had kids to balance it out. On the Ropers it was just Stanely insulting Helen which was boring

I think the only reason people watched them on Three's Company in their apartment was because you knew you would see one of the trio any second. It was never a long 10 min segment with just the ropers
which is why I don't understand why the first ep of the ropers is in the three's company syndication package.

I don't think it would have been if the Ropers had been a hit. I think the producers just added a couple of extra episodes for the package.

Because I think it gives the Ropers the proper send off and resolves the "What happened to them" theory many people probably had so it wouldn't be like they're there one minute and then gone the next. Plus, the spinoff show as canceled and it was probably not expected that the show would be in syndication. So anything with a Three's Company attachment would or could be packaged with Three's Company.

The Only Three's Company attachment was their apt, not one character from TC-lol I believe it should have been more for it to be in the syndication package. Like Chrissy coming down to say goodbye.

Well, then IMO this ep was combined into the parent series because it gives closure and it makes perfect sense. The same thing happened with "Hello Larry". An episode was used/mixed into the Diff'rent strokes package. Part 1 started in DS and then part 2 was continued in HL.

Tom there was already closure in the episode when the annoucement was made that the Ropers were moving and the episode ended with the trio hugging the Ropers.
That episode which was the first episode of the spinoff shows them moving in their new place which was not really a connection to three's company

It represents the connection/journey the Ropers take into the spinoff. It can be argued that the Jeffersons' pilot ep on AITF has nothing to do with AITF (besides Edith being in a short scene). Jackee's pilot was mixed in into the 227 syndication package. Things like this are not uncommon. I'd rather in a way see it packaged with the Ropers' series but we get a treat.

The Jeffersons pilot still had one character from AITF before they left and that's how the Ropers should have been. Having jack, janet, or Chrissy say a final goodbye.
This was also done for the Grady pilot. Fred appears in the very beginning and then Grady leaves and heads to his new location.

What about the theme song? If that's not the worst theme song of all time, it's definitely in the top 10. Just awful. puke:

At the beginning of the episode. It was pretty much Grady the rest of the way. Besides, there is no rule that says a character from the mothership show has to be there when the supporting character is going to be spunoff. I'm ok with the distributors giving us the viewers a little taste of the show by adding it into the mothership package since the spinoff is seldom seen in syndication.

How bout Fonzie being in the first ep of Mork and Mindy and Laverne and Shirley
lol
But Tom you have to admit you was confused by the Ropers 1st ep when you was a kid because at that time me or you didn't know anything about a spinoff. We were just sitting there asking yourself..."Where the hell is Janet, jack, and Chrissy and why am I watching just the ropers in a new home?
LMAO

I was about 14 or 15 when I saw it. I saw the closing credits and the townhouses and said, "Hey! This a "Ropers" episode!". It still comes off as a TC ep because there were two supporting cast members in it. If it was the Brookes family only, it would not have worked.

That question you posed is one that I did ask myself with other shows such as "The Facts of Life" where they'd do those ridiculous spinoff attempts and you'd barely see main characters. LOL. My little brother thought he was watching "The Jeffersons" when they moved out of Queens and into Manhattan. When the last scene faded to the end credits and Bunker house, he said, "Hey, wait! This aint "The Jeffersons"? This that other show?" LOL.
