This information was recently discovered by another poster, but since it's buried in another thread somewhere, I thought this subject should probably get its own thread so that everyone can know. It looks like Ida Prewitt, one of the more infamous interviewees in UM history, passed away on September 2, 2011 at the age of 82. It seems her death slipped under the radar for a few months and I can't find any details about how seh died, but since this lists her as a resident of Bristow, Oklahoma, I'm pretty sure this is the same person.

Ida Prewitt, of course, is the mother of Beverly Noe and grandmother of Chad Noe, who are believed to be responsible for the disappearances and likely murders of Wendy Camp, Lisa Renee Kregear and Cynthia Britto. While it's never been officially proven that Ida was involved in the disappearances, it's a given that she knew what happened and she didn't exactly endear herself to anyone in her UM interview when went on about Wendy's "griping and bitching". Since Beverly and Ida both spent time in prison a few years ago for arson, they obviously were not saints.
Anyway, there's always a bit of sadness and anger when a person who is believed to be responsible for someone else's disappearance leaves this world without revealing what happened. However, in this case, there were definitely other people involved in the crime, so at least Ida's death doesn't eliminate the possibility of the victims' families gettin closure someday.

So she was only 82 when she died? Not to speak ill of the dead, but she looked 82 when she was interviewed on UM.
Maybe her guilt made her look older.
Maybe her surviving relatives will reveal what really happened.

Is it a coincidence that I'm listening to Bob Seger's "Fire Lake" as I read this thread?

If you've never seen it, here's her mug shot at the Oklahoma Department of Corrections from her arson arrest in 2007. She truly looks older than dirt.

Here's Beverly Noe's mug shot, in case you're wondering what she looks like. She looks about as miserable as you'd envision her to be.

I've got nothing nice to say, and have avoided commenting on this post because of that. But I can't keep quiet any longer. She makes me sick and I can't mourn the passing of such of person.
She was nearly the same age as my grandmother, who was an excellent mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, daughter, and friend. She was honest with high morals and strong values. She helped anyone in need, worked from age 10, babysitting and cleaning houses, so she could raise her younger brother and to keep him from being sent on an orphan train when their mother died at the young age of 33. As an adult, she gave her other siblings a free place to live when they were down on their luck.
She worked hard on the automotive assembly lines to provide for her immediate and extended family. She paid the rent for her destitute mother and father in law, and even purchased a house for her elderly mother in law when she was widowed so she'd always have a place to live and would never have to worry. She visited her every day to make sure she was happy, healthy, and well provided for.
My grandmother was a non-smoker, non-drinker, and a clean living woman. Working in the auto plant gave her lung cancer (inhaling fiberglass insulation an other things on the job during the 40s, 50s, and 60s) which killed her before her time.
Ida Prewitt was none of the wonderful things my grandmother was, yet outlived her by 12 years.
And what did Ida do with her life? Apparently, crime was her major occupation. She seemed to be a bad mother, a bad grandmother, and a horrible great-grandmother.
She was a convicted arsonist. To my knowledge, she was a suspected pimp and drug dealer.
She likely died with knowledge of what happened to that young, beautiful, and strong woman Wendy Camp... her sweet, caring, and lovely sister in law Lisa Kreager.... and Wendy's perfect, beautiful, and innocent child Cynthia Britto.
Ida may have even been directly involved in robbing these people of their lives and causing lifelong heartache for the loved ones left without answers. At the least, I believe she knows exactly what happened to them.
Living on this earth for 82 years, she had plenty of time to try to ease the suffering of the family and loved ones of these missing people. She should have told all she knew before she passed, but in another self serving, selfish act, she took the answers to the grave with her, leaving the surviving loved ones with little hope other than an unlikely confession from the others who were involved.
The only nice thing I can say: May God have mercy on her soul.

Amen. Maybe Ida has gotten the opportunity to say hi to the likes of Stephen Marfeo, Rob Page and other selfish people who decided to take secrets about missing people to their graves.
