Dan Biggers, the retired longtime director of the Historic Berry has died.

Biggers, who was also known for his role in “In the Heat of the Night” television series, had been in poor health for a number of years. Click here to see his filmography at imdb.com.

His television credits go all the way back to “Murder in Coweta County” in 1983.

On the silver screen, Biggers credits took off after a role in “The Slugger’s Wife” in 1985 and ended with “Elizabethtown” opposite Kirsten Dunst and Orlando Bloom in 2005.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.

I can't speak to recently, but back in the day, Biggers was very involved with the Heat fandom. He often attended the Heat conventions and posted on mailing lists, etc. That's amazing, considering how busy he must have been. That's quite a list of accomplishments in his bio. I had no idea he had such an interesting background.

It's been many a year, but I can still remember what a kick he got out of me calling him a hottie on one of the old mailing lists. Bubba and Lonnie were getting all the attention (as usual) and I thought he deserved some of his own.
