Hi All,

As a loyal fan of The Price is Right, Millionaire, Match Game and coutless other game shows, one of my biggest pissers are contestants who come to the show and have NO IDEA OF HOW THE GAMES ARE PLAYED OR WHAT TO DO. Today on Price is Right, they had one of the stupidest people playing TEN CHANCES. It took her 5 attempts to get the first prize right and then she was guessing the price of some table lamps and she kept writing down....$"158, 185, 151 and didn't even get to the car. I mean, some don't get to the car and that's ok. But any idiot knows that they aren't going to give away a set of table lamps in the $100 range in this day and age! She was SOOOO STUPID! And it's like I wanted her to lose (She was beaten out in the Showcase Showdown so I was happy.) I remember another contestant some years ago saying that the price of a VCR cassette tape was $300, The clown on Millionare who didn't know that Darwin was credited with the theory of evolution, or what Ernie sang about in his bathtub. It's not like my purpose is to belittle the people that can't play the games or don't know the answers to such easy questions. But if they can't play the games, they shouldn't be there. It takes the fun out of game shows and takes away from the people that know what they are doing, and deserve a chance to get on. For those who don't know how to play....stay home already!

I know how you feel.
How about those contestants on Wheel Of Fortune that get
the puzzle within a couple of letters and you already know
what it is and the people in the audience know what it is
and the stupid person looks at it and gives the WRONG
answer!:(
Or how about when they have to go for a life line early on
on Millionaire?
I think the one reason people like watching The Weakest Link
is because Ann Robinson expresses what a lot of the viewers
and audience are thinking about some of the contestants!!!!:)

Just as bad on WOF, are the people who know the answer to the puzzle and just guess the letters in order, not realizing that you get the $ amount on the spin for each of the same letter in the puzzle (there are some exceptions now though)

So instead of waiting for a big $ to guess that letter, if it's next then they say it. Or if they get a big $, they say the next letter in order instead of looking at the puzzle to see if there are any multiples.

Don't forget the doofuses on TPIR in ten chances who write the same number in the price.

I know what you mean. On TPIR, it should be obvious to all that contestants should not walk up on stage to chat with Bob when their name is called, yet so many geezers do and Bob always tells them to go back to contestant row. I think the producers really enjoy selecting contestants who don't know up from down because it allows viewers at home to relate to someone according to their own mental ability.

In all of my years of watching game shows, I have seen some stupid people in my time.

I think I know the reason why:

CAMERA! CAMERA! CAMERA!

I think most people are smartest when watching the show, but the minute they get on, they just blank out!

Another reason could be one of the seven deadly sins: GREED

Perfect example: PRESS YOUR LUCK. You have a person who just got like $17K and they keep on playing! I would be yelling "Pass! Stop!" common sense would tell you that if you make it this far, the logical thing to do is either quit or pass the spins because the next one might be a Whammy or something. And no one's gonna accumulate all of that money only to have it thrown away by greed because that's work for nothing.

I get very agrivated with stupid contestants on game shows like Weakest Link, Rock & Roll Jeporday and Beat The Geeks. Contestants that get very easy pop culture questions wrong are the absolute worst. When the cast of The Brady Bunch competed on Weakest Link I was tempted to throw my TV out the window. Christopher Knight aka Peter Brady was a total idiot when it came to questions about pop culture. To make matters worse he ended up winning some how. I remember one time on Beat The Geeks where the question was, "Who played the part of Marty Mcfly in the 1985 movie, Back To The Future?" None of the contestants knew that it was Michael J. Fox! One of the morons actually guessed that it was Conrad Bain! Even the host got irritated. He said, "Whaaaaat?!! No it was not Mr. Drummond!"
