It would be so cool if they would do a reunion special, reuniting everyone!!!

Vic Tayback unfortunatly is no longer with us, BUT all the waitresses could be there, and Tommy.

I don't know about the ones who played Henry and Earl.

Marvin Kaplan (Henry) and Dave Madden (Earl) are both still alive!

You can't do a reunion without Mel!

He was the main star of the show even more than Alice herself!

Linda Lavin never got along with Polly Holliday and Diane Ladd.

That's true, though it would be nice to see what's left of the cast together again. I posted this because I dreamed they did a show like this. Alice and Belle are supposedly in Nashville according to that we last heard from them, and Flo is in Texas which isn't TOO far away, so in my dream of the reunion show they all met up in Tennessee.

But it might be better for them to be in Pheonix

But they could do a big tribute to Mel or something. Another idea is they could get an inferior actor to play Mel *it wouldn't be the 1st time it's been done* BUT I, along with most fans would hate that. I'd rather they just talk as though he passed away.

Hopefully the conflict between Linda, Polly, and Diane is cleared up by now! That has been almost 40 years ago!

Why is that??

During the run of Alice, when the character of Flo became so popular, Linda Lavin didn't want to be upstaged. She was very mean to both Polly and Diane.

The best we could hope for is that they could be in the room together talking about the old days separated in commentaries but let's be even more realistic, shall we? The likely hood of even seeing seasons 2-9 even as a purchase of VOD is terribly negative. I think VOD is our only chance in the world to see anything else....forget about them taking the time to clean and repair the original films, the holidays bunch imho shows us that is the truth that came out from Warner in a package deal.

Frankly I'd say I have better odds of God granting me a miracle I think I need to get through life rather than wait on Alice to come to our homes and have the comfort that they will never strip away our rights to see what we've already purchased on VOD.

Finally, if they were going to make any sudden moves here it would hold water for me to make watching season one for a certain nameless sight for free with signup for a specific special program of theirs before I'd raise an eyebrow. As it is, for USA citizens we can have it for under 1.00 per episode for season 1. It is so much fun to actually see everyone getting along or making it look good at least. I have a better chance of getting a deadly disease I think than to ever believe all of Alice will be ours to enjoy. I am deeply deeply saddened to feel that way but I think it really may be true.

If condition really mattered to us, none of us would have bought the holiday collection. A Semi Merry Christmas is an Alice classic and I'm glad at least it saw the light of day. We've begged, campaigned and we still get the same answers, I want to be the one holding out until my last breath that I will laugh at the remaining episodes as much as I do what we have available in any way now.

I'd say one more line about Flo here but, I'm afraid I'd get stereotyped, warned or even worse banned from this forum and I don't want that so I'll keep my last line in my mind for a while and chuckle to myself knowing I mean no malice if I printed it but the mods may not.

Just my nickel tip for a cup of mel's used coffee grounds cup of joe.

This is why, THANKFULLY, I was smart enough to record nearly every episode back when it was aired. I have like my own little retro library of old show you may never see again. I KNEW even at that time TV would lose all these old shows and show nothing but crap.
