There’s no sophomore jinx for this series, as the series continues to bring the funny and even higher ratings! “Modern Family” The Complete Second Season is now on Blu-ray and DVD from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, and we will cover the Blu-ray portion. The series just recently won the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series for the second straight year at this year’s Emmy Awards. The series won five total Emmy Awards for its outstanding second season, including honors for Ty Burrell & Julie Bowen! Modern Family is a refreshingly hilarious look at what it means to be a family in today's hectic, unpredictable world. While fledgling fathers Cameron and Mitchell struggle with learning the ropes of parenthood, long-time parents Claire and Phil try to keep the spice in their marriage amid the chaos of raising three challenging children. Meanwhile, family patriarch, Jay, has more than his hands full with his sexy, spirited wife, Gloria, and her precocious son. Still, no matter the size, shape or situation, family always comes first in this laugh-out-loud, critically acclaimed hit.

The three-disc set from 20th Century Fox contains all 24 second season episodes in their unedited format, along with plenty of bonus features. The series airs Wednesdays at 9:00 PM on ABC and stars Ed O'Neill as Jay Pritchett, Julie Bowen as Claire Dunphy, Ty Burrell as Phil Dunphy, Sofía Vergara as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Mitchell Pritchett, Eric Stonestreet as Cameron Tucker, Sarah Hyland as Haley Dunphy, Nolan Gould as Luke Dunphy, Ariel Winter as Alex Dunphy and Rico Rodriguez as Manny Delgado. Rerurring is Reid Ewing as Dylan.
