This is basically the same as the other thread we have right now, Shows You Introduced to Someone. Back to the current topic did you like these shows or not.
Survivor- I watched Survivor Australia with my Mom one night and I have watched every Survivor season since then.
As The World Turns- This was my Mom's soap for years until it was cancelled last year. With her watching it everyday I ended up really enjoying it and I was also sad to see it go.
Home Improvement- My Mom and Dad used to watch this show every week and I would sometimes watch it with them.
I'll add on to this list later if I think of more.

Back when I was six years old, My favorate TV Show at that time was the Gerry Anderson "Supermarionation" Series Thunderbirds. One week I came home from School, tuned to that channel, only to find it was replaced with some other show. :( (Cannot remember what replaced it, but whatever it was it didn't turn me on!) I was most dismayed, but then a Friend told me about a new "Space Show" (This is what we called Science-Fiction shows) that had just premeired on NBC. Tuning in, I saw a Spaceship that looked like a Flying Saucer with a bunch of tubes sticking out of it. There were Crew members who'd go to some strange device that would disintigrate them, then reassemble them on the Planet they were visiting, and a "Wierd" Alien who had "Pointy Ears". Guess which show I was introduced to? :D

I got hooked on some of my mother's favorite shows, including Columbo,
Ironside and McCloud. Years later, my sister introduced me to sitcoms like Frasier and Everybody Loves Raymond. Both had excellent taste!
Also: a friend named Joe suggested I try Doctor Who and Knight Rider, which I also liked.

I volunteered at a kid's club in high school and one of the leaders introduced me to "Wings." She was in her 40s and I had never heard of it. She must have thought I was a space cadet. It ended up being one of my favorite shows.
My son introduced me to the show Supernatural, & I became a fan very quickly. I also liked the show Medium which I told my sister about & she started watching it & really liked it.

A friend introduced me both to Two and a Half Men and Curb Your Enthusiasm, and he owns all the seasons of both of these on DVD now. Strangely enough he was introduced to them by friends who said that he reminded them of Charlie Harper and Larry David, respectively, which I guess doesn't say much for my friend.

my brother introduced me to "THE AMAZING RACE" on CBS. Back then, it was on wednesday nights, and he turned it on one night because one of his co-workers was always talking about it.
Back in the 70s my sister introduced me and some of my brothers and sisters to "MONTY PYTHONS FLYING CIRCUS" which was airing on PBS at the time. She came home from school once and said "There's this show on PBS that everyone in school's talking about; they say it's really funny, it's called "MONTY PYTHONS...FLYING...CIRCUS"? Or something like that".
