In 2016, I can close my eyes and picture no show on the N@N schedule beyond the year of 2000. Right now in 2011, there is only 2 shows from beyond 2000 which is Married with Children and That 70's Show. So can you really see any shows from the 90's on this network five years from now? The network has made it clear they intend to get newer not older so I doubt if I will have a reason to watch N@N 5 years from now.

TV Land on the otherhand still gives you classic tv from the 60's to the 80's even though the network has original programming. So maybe in 2016 TV Land willl have more shows from the 70's and 80's and less from the 60's?

So I defintely think I will be watching TV Land five years from now since the network is a lot older than N@N when it comes to programming.

Haven't watched ANY of them in the last five years. Everything that TV Land used to show is available in one form or another, uncut and with NO Interruptions of any kind. The way Cable's going these days, I wonder if ANYBODY will be watching these channels five years from now!

I wonder if the Jeffersons is the only show that is on TV Land that's not complete on DVD? But yes you make a good point that most of their shows can be seen on DVD.

I don't think Nick at Nite is moving away from 90s shows since they're adding Friends soon and recently added Married with Children.

Well that's a total of 2 in 2011 so to see that the oldest shows on the network is from the 90's, it just makes you think that 5 years from now it may only be one or no show from the 90's. We already know it won't be any shows from the 70's or 80's-lol

I don't watch it now, so I doubt I will be then unless they get their heads out of their behinds and start putting on some REAL classics.

I think you have a better chance of seeing classics on TV Land in 2016, than N@N

I agree. If they were totally commited to post 2000's shows, they wouldn't have acquired Friends or be airing Married with Children. Maybe those are just small exceptions. I still wonder what is keeping them from airing very current shows that are still on the air. I mean, if they're all about the new shows why not air shows like: Two and a Half Men, New Adventures of Old Christine, The Office, etc. I realize some other networks already have the rights to them, but those are just examples.

Friends was acquired back in 2005, I believe. The time for it has just now come. It was acquired back when TV Land was programming Nick at Nite and they were airing mostly Roseanne, Fresh Prince, Who's The Boss, Full House, Murphy Brown, etc.

The Jeffersons is the only thing I watch on TV Land. All the other shows I can watch in a better version on DVD or on Antenna TV. Hopefully Antenna TV will get the Jeffersons in 2012 then I won't be watching it on TV Land anymore.

By 2016, Nick at Nite will probably be showing Two and Half Men.

I don't remember how the local edited version of the jeffersons look since it's been about 20 years since I seen the show on my local station. I think TV Land edits are a lot better than the local edits, just compare the way Three's company looks on antenna tv and TV land. On TV land you see the tag scene for three's company, on antenna tv there is no tag scene.

I will put it to you in no uncertain terms: NO!

I cannot believe that whenever I go on vacation I don't even bother to look for N@N and TVL on the TV (I don't have cable or satellite at home). Just goes to show you how low these channels have fallen!
