Swoosie Kurtz loves playing Joyce Flynn, Molly's sexually free, outspoken mom on "Mike & Molly". Kurtz said Thursday on "The Talk" that she takes pride in how her character busts the mom stereotype.
"This character that they allow me to play just breaks open the prototype of "the mom". I mean she's the naughtiest, baughtiest, juiciest woman on television in my age bracket.
It is so wonderful to allow a woman in my age-range to be so sexually wildly inappropriate and outspoken. We're so used to seeing it from young up-scale women in New York City, like on "Sex and the City", and I just think it's wonderful to be so naughty. It just tickled my sexual funny bone."
