RUSSIA (PIX11)— A Russian woman who was mistakenly declared dead woke up at her only funeral only to die of a heart attack a few minutes later, according to a report in the Daily Mail Friday.
The shocking incident happened in the city of Kazan and has left the victim's family and friends still scratching their heads.
Fagilyu Mukhametzyanov reportedly suffered a massive heart attack after waking up in a coffin where she was surrounded by mourners and was just moments away from being buried.
Witnesses say Mukhametzyanov, 49, began screaming when she realized what was happening.
The woman was transported to a nearby hospital where she was - for the second time - pronounced dead.
The woman's husband Fagili Mukhametzyanov, is one of many who are demanding answers for the medical mistake.
"I am very angry and want answers. She wasn't dead when they said she was and they could have saved her," he said.
Mukhametzyanov said he plans to sue the hospital.
Local authorities are still investigating the incident.
