"The Vampire Diaries" Cast Talks Season 3 & Strip Clubs

Since filming on season 3 of "The Vampire Diaries" is still months away, when AOL TV caught up with the cast at The CW upfront red carpet yesterday none of the stars had any real clue about what their characters will be up to come fall.
They did, however, have a few suggestions for when Kevin Williamson, Julie Plec and the rest of the writers finally sit down to brainstorm the season.
What do you want to see happen in Season 3?
Somerhalder: I think that there'll be a little bit of a role-reversal, although I just hope that David and Stefan and Klause could kind of go on a binder or two. You know kind of bond and get to know each other better. Then Elijah would come in and hang out.
Dobrev: I'd like to see Elena stand on her own two feet and fly solo for a second.
Is there really a strip club in Mystic Falls?
Dobrev: (laughs) I'm sure there is one. I'm sure Alaric is at the strip club every day.
Somerhalder: We'll have them write one in.
Let's talk about that kiss between Elena and Damon.
Dobrev: Season One... the finale of the first season ended with a fake-out Damon and Elena kiss and it turned out that it was actually Katherine.
Now this year it was legitimately Damon and Elena kissing... her choice, she made the move and not him. He was at his most vulnerable and he was so beautiful, and damaged, and honest. Elena likes the good guy at the end of the day.
I think we'll found out exactly why she kissed Damon later.
Wesley: What if in Season 3 you found out that the kiss was just a dream because Damon was hallucinating from the wolf bite?
We really don't know anything...
