The Stars of "Supernatural"
After a winter break, "Supernatural" returns to the CW with a string of new episodes leading up to a two-part finale and (hopefully) word of a seventh season.
Recently, we caught up with cast and crew at Paleyfest 2011 to talk about the show's past, present and possible future.
Jared Padelecki 'Sam Winchester'
No one would have ever thought 6 years ago that we would be here today talking about this show still. Even though the show has changed so much it's essentially about Sam and Dean's journey and people have responded to it.
We loved the episode where we make fun of you guys (points to camera). We're like 'All right... what else is there?' No we mean when we make fun of you guys... as in Jared Padelecki and Jensen Ackles.
I told my wife how she feels about coming back and she was like 'No, you'll kill me. I don't think I'll be very welcome back.' And I said 'No, you'll actually be coming back as my wife.' and she was like 'WHAT?'
I hope that we get the phone calls soon that we'll be back (for 7th season).
Jensen Ackles 'Dean Winchester'
We just came back from a TV Guide photo-shoot where we were voted best show. I'm very proud to be associated with a show that fans are that passionate about.
Changing channels was a lot of fun for us to do 'cause we got to play all of these different characters... doing a game show, poking fun at "CSI"... all kinds of stuff.
You know, I would say that the storylines are fascinating... like when Dean was sent to the future and found 5-year-future Dean... that was great. I really enjoyed that story and it was very challenging for me as an actor. It was one of those episodes that we all tipped our hats to.. we agreed it was great.
Jim Beaver 'Bobby Singer'
Most of the remaining episodes of this season are just going to be hard work for 'Bobby', as well as for 'Sam' and 'Dean'.
Everybody's enthusiastic about doing a 7th season, everybody who makes the show as well as the actors.
Misha Collins 'Castiel'
Castiel is a very subserviant character... being in Heaven for his whole life. I think that he can be very ruthless and ambitious as a ruler in Heaven.
I'm not very sure that he's well equipped to handle power. It might all go his head.
Bed Edlund - Writer/Producer
I think it's very fascinating territory from a desire to play with movies and film... Jared and Jensen should become themselves.
