NBC has ordered a new season of "Parks and Recreation", the network announced on Thursday.

"I am so pleased to renew these three outstanding comedies which are all at the top of their game creatively," Bob Greenblatt, chairman of NBC Entertainment said in a statement.

"'Parks & Recreation' has come into its own this season as the rightful companion to 'The Office'."

"Parks and Recreation", which stars Amy Poehler, began its third season after an extended hiatus in January.

The premiere drew 6.2 million viewers and a series-high in the demo.

Thank you NBC!!!!!

(Of course, NBC will renew any show that 5 or more people between the ages of 18 to 49 will watch these days.)

LOL good point. Then again, Parks & Rec is the funniest show on TV this past season, even over Modern Family IMO. If it doesn't get an Emmy nom for Best Comedy, well then I just don't understand anything anymore.

This is my favorite show on television. I like ensamble shows and I enjoy every character in this series, (well may be not Rob Lowe, but all men are jealous of Rob Lowe because the man is beautiful!) Ron Swanson is my favorite!

The show and the story flows quite well, it's smart, funny and does not go for the cheap laugh (usually). The characters occasionally resort to four letter words that are bleeped out.
The only P&R episode that I disliked and was stupid was the one with Will Arnett.

Even if you dislike "The Office", try this show.
