Why is it When loyal people who buy the individual seasons get punished when they release the whole series with special packiging, it irks me to no end i got shafted like this with full house, cosby show, golden girls, and now home improvement, why can't they give the consumer the option of even buying the special packiging w/o having to fork out over 100 dollars for the whole series again, oh well i guess i have to deal with it but it irks me.

From 2004 to 2008, ABC/Disney individually released all 8 seasons of the classic Tim Allen sitcom Home Improvement. Today the studio has announced that on May 10th they will revisit the show on DVD with a 25-disc collection of Home Improvement - The 20th Anniversary Complete Collection. The title comes in premium toolbox-style packaging, and includes a collectible Binford "All-In-One Tool" packed in with the DVDs. All the on-disc content from the previous releases, including the bonus material, will be found on this new set. Cost is $129.99 in the USA, and CA$149.99 SRP in Canada. Here are two pictures of the packaging, including one taken from the retailer sell sheet that gives us a more 3D view of the box:

Maybe for fans who don't buy TV box sets until the whole series is released, due to the possibility of the studio giving up? For example, the 2nd season of Growing Pains was released 5 years after Season 1!

That being said, they could make runs of the packaging for those who have the individual sets as you mentioned.
