I know that after "Party Of Five" ended Matthew Fox did several interviews in which he basically trashed the series and said he hated working on the show. He didn't like the character he played and felt the show as overly sentimental.

Grant Show, also did similar interviews post-Melrose Place in which he described the show as awful and terrible.

I know that Shannen Doherty has stated that she was never terribly fond of "Beverly Hills, 90210" and always wanted to work on better series.

John Stamos said in a few interviews that were times he didn't like working on Full House but overall he never regretted doing the show because he became close with co-stars.

I don't know if Natalie Schafer hated working on Gilligan's Island but I know she never wanted to do the show. She only did the pilot because she wanted a free trip to Hawaii (where it was shot) and because she thought the pilot would never ever get picked up to series.

Gary Burghoff didn't like playing Radar on "MASH". He didn't mind it at first, but then they started to "dumb down" the character. (that's why he didn't wear his "Radar cap" in his final episode, he wanted people to see him for who he really is: a balding, middle-aged, grown man.)

Max Baer didn't like playing Jethro on "THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES".

Robert Reed if I'm not mistaken, admitted that he was embarrassed by his association with The Brady Bunch. He regularly argued with the executive producer (Sherwood Schwartz) over the direction. Reed wanted a more "realistic" type show while Schwartz wanted there to be more slapstick.

Andy Kaufman was initially against doing Taxi. Kaufman didn't like sitcoms in general because he felt that it was the lowest form of comedy. He was persuaded to do it under the belief that the the TV exposure would give him a wider audience. Latka was basically an extension of Andy's "Foreign Man" act.

If I remember well Claire Danes of 'My so-called life' wanted to end the show asap beacause she received after a few episodes offers from cinema.

And also Lauren Graham during the last seasons of Gilmore Girls.
Many fans hated her interviews from that period.

I know Sally Field hated The Flying Nun. Fred Gwynne wasn't too crazy
about Herman Munster, and Henry Winkler didn't like being typecast as the Fonz, either. Don Adams wanted to do dramatic roles, but he was too closely
identified with Maxwell Smart. It's a common pitfall in television to be pegged
as a certain character or type and very difficult to escape from it. A few actors have (e.g., Andy Griffith and Dick Van Dyke), by taking roles very different from their earlier shows. But it's not easy.

Well, we're still waiting for her to work on that "better series."

Puh-leeeeeze!

Shannen is not much of an actress and 90210 will probably be the biggest thing she's ever done. She blew an opportunity to have a job for 10 years. If she disdains 90210 so much, then why did she agree to appear in some episodes of the revival show??

And I also read that(although he's made peace with the series later on in his career)Adam West hated playing "Batman" and I also read that the late Robert Stack hated "The Untouchables".

If I remember well Claire Danes of 'My so-called life' wanted to end the show asap beacause she received after a few episodes offers from cinema.

The real story with MSCL is that by the time the show aired Claire had spent nearly two years of her life on the show. After shooting the pilot it took over a year and a half for the show to get picked up to series and to shoot new episodes. So by this time Claire was simply ready to move on. She was like 14 when she shot the pilot and 16 by the time the series ended. In fact, it was her decision to end the show. ABC was ready to order another year of the show but Claire's hesitation to do another year ended it. Plus she had gotten so many movie offers she couldn't really turn them down.

I think that by now Shannen has matured and realized she just needs to take any job she's offered. She states in her recent autobiography that she really regrets some of her past actions and the image she has cultivated with her poor behavior.

I do think Shannen is a great actress that hasn't had the opportunity to showcase her range because of the material that she gets on the type of shows she makes.

also, Tina Louise hated doing the show too.

How did Shannon feel about Charmed? She managed to get kicked off that show just like BH90210!

Ted Knight had some concerns with playing Ted Baxter on TMTMS, but I think he got over it.

By all accounts, Pernell Roberts came to hate Bonanza, the series that made him famous. His concerns, attitudes, etc. have been well documented.

Of course he later had great success with Trapper John MD and many know him from that series -- one for the "did not hate" thread (lol).

Robert Beltran has been openly critical about Star Trek: Voyager.

As far as I know Shannen's exit from "Charmed" had less to do with her being kicked off and more to do with the fact that she was going through a drinking problem around that time and had a DUI arrest. I think her exit from that show was very mutual.

She's owned up to her behavior by now and has admitted she made mistakes.

I don't think she has anything against "CHARMED"; she tends to point at BH90210 as being more embarrassing because she felt it was beneath her standards because it was too "soapy". At least according to the E! True Hollywood Story of Shannen Doherty.

I don't know if Francis Bavier hated playing Aunt Bee on the Andy Griffith Show but I've read that she was very hard for the rest of the cast to get along with and was rarely in a good mood.

Oh puhleeze! That's so Jackie Burkhart! No one would know who the hell she was if it weren't for "That 70's Show". She better remember where she came from!!

Susan Dey doesn't want to be reminded of her PF days , she wanted to be taken seriously as an actress. And in recent years, David Schwimmer does as much as he can to downplay his role as Ross. In his recent bios for the Toronto and Chicago Film Festival, he doesnt even mention FRIENDS

Kirk Cameron? Are you sure? I know when he found the Lord during the show, he got a little too deep being so young spiritually in Christ but I think he matured spiritually and understands some things.

From what I've read practically everybody in the "ALF" cast hated working on the show, due to the long and tedious process of filming it.
