John Addis("John Edwards")...Dead or Alive???

Just watched the segment about John Addis. He met a woman at a gym under the name John Edwards. She disappears. Police investigate and find out he is really John Addis, a former CSI investigator with the Alaska State police. At the end of the update, they mention that the Alaska State Police do not rule out the possibility that he staged his own death. Obviously, he would have the knowledge to do so. Plus, if he died in Guatemala, it's conceivable that they didn't exactly do the best job to prove the identity of the body they found. So....do you think he is REALLY dead???

I remember seeing the AMW profile but don't remember the case being on UM. In any event, yes, I think he is definitely deceased.

It has been stated in published reports that fingerprints confirmed the body as John Addis. For that reason, in the absence of any proof to the contrary, there is no doubt in my mind that John Patrick Addis is dead.

Yeah, at first glance I would say he is likely dead. I do however find it odd that the Alaska State troopers would remark that they believe it's possible he is still alive and faked his death. I mean, why would a police organization make that comment if they thought the evidence was compelling?
