My early complaints about this network is the Nanny being on after Married with Children since it's already on two cable channels.

My other compliant is the Jeffersons not being on the schedule when all the other Norman Lear stcoms were added to the Schedule

Maude
All in the Family
Good Times
Sanford and Son

So far my only complaint is about their decision to skip holiday (particularily Christmas) related episodes because they plan to show them later. They've done this with MWC quite a bit already, as well as a few TC and AIF episodes. I think it would be better to show everything in order, then repeat the holiday episodes if they want to at the appropriate time. But, all things considered, I'm very happy with Antenna TV

They do that because there are only certain amount of plays they have per episode for each show. So if they go through a Christmas episode 2-3 times a year, they probably won't have enough plays to air during Christmas. All networks do this for the most part.

I don't mind the holiday episode skipping really, since they will air during the holidays anyway. I would say my only complaints are there The Nanny airing and a little too much movie time. I would have the movies from like 3am-1pm only, giving more time for TV series (added from 1-3am).

I don't even have it yet, but I hope they add NewsRadio soon. Since they have the rights, maybe we'll see it soon.

I could come up with a few things, my main gripe is they air edited versions of shows. I had hoped they would at least air Hazel uncut, but sadly that is not the case. I would record the Hazels if they were uncut. I might start recording them anyway, no telling when or if the series will continue on DVD so at this point edited shows are better than nothing.

I saw a scene on Sanford and Son last night I never seen before so it looked unedited

I agree with that.Plus The Nanny and Married With Children are not classic tv shows.-Otherwise I really like the station so far and it's much, much, much better than that commercial filled mess called TV-Land.

Having All in the Family, Married ... with Children, Maude, and Three's Company on. I don't see them as classics, especially MWC!!!

Why don't you consider All In The Family a classic show?

well, the only things I've watched on it so far has been "ALL IN THE FAMILY" and a few of the 3 Stooges shorts, and I have no complaints about them.
"ALL IN THE FAMILY" seems to be unedited, also the stooges, and theres no annoying commercial breaks every 5 minutes during the shorts!:) :stooges:
And, they don't have the split screen at the end, and they don't have their logo in the corner of the screen!

(although, I suspect that it's only a matter of time before all that will change:( )

Why don't you consider All In The Family a classic show?

Because it changed television for the worse! It was too radical! It was with this show that CBS did away with rural sitcoms like The Andy Griffith Show, Mayberry R. F. D., and Green Acres. Why change? Like they say, if it ain't broke...

My only misgiving is that shows always have to be shown back-to-back with themselves, but I guess that's the current model everywhere. I'm certain it is also a budgetary consideration as they would have to acquire more programs!
Otherwise, no bugs, no pop-ups to tell me about other shows, no postage stamp sized credits or voiceovers... this is tv as it should be!

My complaint is I'm jealous of those able to get this great channel. We'll never be able to get it because we can't pick up anything with an antenna, if we could, I'd be be thankful for the shows I have seen offered.

I usually don't like to complain. I like to look at the glass as half full --instead of half empty.

I guess my only complaint is that the shows are edited. I guess its not really their fault if that's the way the studios are giving it to them. I just don't understand how TV Land and Nick at Nite could get these shows uncut, but not Antenna TV.

I'm just grateful for the shows they do run.
I get to watch an hour of Dennis, an hour of Hazel, and an hour of Maude, and that's enough television for me for one day.

Otherwise, I perfectly happy. It is what it is. Free TV. I'm not paying cable for it.

Of course you probably know this but you don't need an antenna to pick up the channel if the cable/satellite company you use carries it.---That's why even though I've mentioned this before,EVERY cable/satellite company should carry this channel.I know cable etc. have become a joke and scam in many ways, but even so-there still is no excuse whatsoever for any of them not having this channel available.

now, I just wish they'd start showing "THE HONEY MOONERS", "BURNS AND ALLEN", "THE JACK BENNY SHOW" and "THE BOB CUMMINGS SHOW". (unedited)
(also, I wish someone would put them on DVD-unedited and with extras-exept for "THE HONEYMOONERS")
Also, I wish my cable provider would also get ME-TV!

Just because your not a fan of the show don't mean it's not a classic because it is. I'm not a fan of The Andy Griffin show but I still give the show the respect as a classic because it is.
