One of my favourite episodes of TBB.
At the start Peter is clearly going to make it into the kitchen before Jan but in the kitchen scene Jan makes it first. Perhaps she pushed him out of sight.
When we join Greg and Alice in the kitchen Alice is already bending down behind the sink. Makes me think that perhaps that there was some other dialogue which was cut for reasons of time.
Watch the scenes in the girls bedroom closely. There are some dodgy mock ups of the fourt wall. At the start there is the big chest of drawers behind Marcia that are also where the bedroom door is. Later, in a scene with Greg they have clearly just swapped the set around as the new picture above Marcias bed in the top right of the screen is in the top left of the screen in Gregs close up. There is also an in joke as Greg mentions a friend, Lloyd Leeds. Lloyd Schwartz and Howard Leeds combined.
We get some nice bathroom shots in this episode where instead of having the camera where the mirrors normally are, the action is mainly filmed looking into the mirrors.
Maureen McCormack is excellent in this episode, especially in her scene with Florence when she is told she is no longer in the play. This episodes probably has some of the most drama ever.
