Many people have said that some of the not-very good episodes of "The Twilight Zone"were those written by Earl Hamner,Jr.Rank these-My rankings-1)1962's "A Piano in the House"-good -to-very good 2)1962's"The Hunt"-good 3)1963's "Jess-Belle"(hourlong-all others-half-hours)-good 4)-1963's "You Drive"-good 5)1964's "Black Leather Jackets"--fair-to-good 6)1964's "Stopover in a Quiet Town"-good-to-very good Companion piece sort of to Rod Serling's very good 1959 premiere episode "Where Is Everybody?" 7)1964's last show of the series "The Bewitchin'Pool"-fair-to-good.

What are your thoughts on "Ring-A-Ding-Girl"?Oh,I forgot that one. With "Ring a Ding Girl",I'd have to give it a fair-to-good.I really didn't understand it-Was she really there,or did she stay on the plane? It gave more questions than answers.

I think the episodes that he wrote were generally good but not among my favorites though I think "The Hunt" is a touching episode and "You Drive" is pretty darn creepy. Next to Rod Serling, my favorite TZ writer is Richard Matheson, since I'm a fan of his work (I Am Legend, Somewhere In Time) to begin with.
