This is from the last season where Eddie moves out. When Wally and Beaver go to see him, in one yard there are some guys working on a beat up looking car. When they get to Eddie's place, he is living in one of those old homes that have been turned into apartment buildings. Before they enter Beaver comments on what a crummy looking neighborhood it is. I guess that is what a ghetto looks like in Mayfield.

Yeah, and Eddie, true to his character, was acting like a big shot, saying how "swinging" the place was. And the girls all fought over who was going to cook for him. And I thought Eddie already had a dog, wasn't it Eddies dog who chased Puff-Puff up the tree.
In this season 6 ep. Wally said, Eddie took the new dog home with him.

then the landlady says so and so is 65 years old, (at least thats what he tells the social security office)
Like you could almost lie about your age to social security.

Eddie's dog from the earlier episode when it chased Puff Puff up the tree I think was season 1 so it's highly possible he got a different dog 5 seasons later - don't you think?

Sure, if it was season 1, he could have got another dog.
It's funny, I'm not 100% sure, but in the one where Beaver is supposed to go to boarding school, he talks to the dog "Archie" I think it was the same dog used as Eddies dog.............LOL

LOL...I will have to go look at that - I never noticed or paid attention. But I do recall that Gilbert's dog was named Archie in that episode about the cat that keeps showing up back at the Cleaver's because Beaver feeds him. His name was Bootsy but I can't recall the season it was in. I'm thinking it was the 5th season - not sure though. Very cute episode.

Surely you're not noticing an inconsistency in LITB? Don't get me started...this is one of my favorite shows, but inconsistency is its middle name... They needed a title "Continuity" in the credits...so Gilbert would always have the same last name, the lamp post by the Cleavers' driveway was there in the daytime too, etc.

Yeah,..............LOL........... I just noticed Mr Donaldson is a different guy in season 1 esp. 5 when they 1st moved in, and Beaver was afraid of him, cause the wife kissed him(Beaver) .Then in "Cat Out Of The Bag" esp 39, it's a different guy.

I've never considered having a different actor as an inconstancy, some times it's just scheduling conflicts and the original actor is no longer available.

In that screen cap, Mrs. Donaldson is Phyllis Coates, the first tv Lois Lane.

I missed that comment (watching on Antenna TV) about Eddie taking the dog with him. I know it ends with Beaver saying:
Beaver: "It must of been lonely at night in a room all by yourself."
June: "Why Beaver, didn't think you cared about what happened to Eddie?
Beaver: "Oh, I was mostly thinking about the dog!" LOL!
