Actress Lynda Carter has a message for Megan Fox: stop bad-mouthing "Wonder Woman," FOXNews.com reported Monday.

The 59-year-old former television superhero, appearing on “Fox and Friends” to promote her new album, took a few minutes to chat about the new series in development from “Ally McBeal” producer David E. Kelly.

But when host Brian Kilmeade brought up the possibility of Megan Fox, 23, stepping into Carter’s boots, the actress had a bone to pick with the suggestion.

“Megan Fox actually kind of trashed 'Wonder Woman,'” Carter said. “She said she thought it was dumb, like ‘what’s the big whoop making people tell the truth.’ I like her, I just thought she shouldn’t trash 'Wonder Woman.'”

In 2009, when rumors began circulating that Fox was under consideration for the role, she told the Times of London that "Wonder Woman" was a “lame superhero.”

“She flies around in her invisible jet and her weaponry is a lasso that makes you tell the truth,” Fox said. “I just don’t get it. Somebody has a big challenge on their hands whoever takes that role but I don’t want to do it.”

But Carter says she is excited at the prospect of Kelly developing the series.

“He’s great at the underlying comedy and character development,” she said of Kelly. “I spoke to him several weeks ago and he is perfect for it because he will really give the characters life. It’s not just going to be a cartoon or a comic book thing, which is really what I think we tried to do.”

But she played coy as to whether or not she would be in the show, saying simply, “I don’t know.”

Most 23-year old women today have never read a comic book in their lives. I doubt that Fox has either -- she probably just knows the character from an old SuperFriends episode or two. She would never know anything about the character's roots in mythology, Paradise Island, etc. Yet instead of pleading ignorance, she slams one of the 20th century's best fictional creations. Idiotic.
