Nia Vardalos May Show Up in 'Cougar Town'

Nia Vardalos has been linked to a role on Cougar Town.

According to Zap2It, the show's producers are hoping to persuade the My Big Fat Greek Wedding actress to guest star in the comedy.

The writers have reportedly already started penning possible storylines for Vardalos, who is married to Cougar Town star Ian Gomez.

Vardalos has previously has guest roles in shows including The Good Guys, Drop Dead Diva and My Boys.

Nia Vardalos has reportedly signed up for a guest role in Cougar Town.

The My Big Fat Greek Wedding star, who is married to cast member Ian Gomez, has been linked to the comedy for some time.

TV Line says that Vardalos has now signed up to play Andy's sister-in-law.

However, Vardalos's character is also said to think of Andy (Gomez) as the "one who got away" and rumors have suggested that Ellie (Christa Miller) will be unhappy about her feelings for him.

Vardalos is expected to appear in an episode of Cougar Town in April.
