According to IMDB, Stage 2 at Warner Brothers Studios in Burbank CA.

I think parts of it are filmed on location in a real high school. Cosby talked about it on a commentary in the Season 1 dvd release.

I bought the DVD that has 10 episodes from Season 1 at WalMart this weekend for $2.50. I have enjoyed the 2 episodes that I have watched so far, "A Word from Our Sponsor" (written by actor Marvin Kaplan; Mike Farrell & Kathleen Freeman make guest appearances.) and "Driven to Distraction" (written by Danny Bonaduce's parents). The 2nd of those had Chet teaching a girl who was a lousy driver in a big open dirt field where she could not hit anything. I noticed the Rose Bowl stadium in the background, so the production had to go out to Pasadena, CA, to find that open field.
