Trigger For Sale

Today Roy Roger's faithful companion, Trigger, along with other Roy and Dale Roger's stuff will go on the auction block at Christie's in Manhattan. How sad! I can't believe the family would sell Trigger and Buttermilk and Bullet.

Trigger was purchased at the Christies Auction by RFD-TV in Omaha, Nebraska. The station announced plans to acquire more Roy Rogers and Dale Evans memorabilia at the auction and open a museum.

I'm glad to hear that there will be a new museum. That's where Trigger (and
the other RR artifacts) belong. Future generations should know about "the
King of the Cowboys," "the Queen of the West" and "the smartest horse in
