HBO's "Entourage" will return this Sunday with the season premiere of its seventh season, and as part of the promotion for the show, executive producer Doug Ellin let it be known who nearly got the role of Turtle, reports TV Guide.
Ellin said he turned down Seth Rogen for the part. The fact that Rogen didn't get the role apparently explains why the actor later declared that "Entourage" wasn't funny in an interview. That remark led to Ellin writing into a script that Rogen was too ugly to ever get a woman like Katherine Heigl in the hit comedy "Knocked Up."
Ellin told the publication that the shot at Rogen was 100% intentional. "If he's going to say the show sucks, I'm going to say he's ugly,” Ellin said.
