Okay, so my grandson, Jim, is going to start his owntelevision network in the 2020s. And one concept he came up with is the unification of two or more television series. It is a groundbreaking and original concept. One of three things will happen when a TV series is unified with another:

!. The lesser TV series will end its run and the characters can become the main characters of the other TV series.
2. Both TV series end their runs and a brand-new TV series featuring the series' characters will be created.
3. Both TV series retain their identity and the series' characters may appear on each others TV series. A character can be the main character of more than one TV series at the same time. (That could be the worst thing about TV series unification)

Has this concept already been done?

I assume this TV series unification concept has never been done in the history of television?

That's more or less what ended up happening with the Cheyenne/Bronco/Sugarfoot enterprise that sprang from Warner Bros Presents and even spilled into Maverick.
