Lifetime Eyeing "Army Wives" Spin-off

Variety has reported that Lifetime is looking to spin off its successful "Army Wives" drama. The project, which is still in the nascent stages of development, will be created by "Wives" writers, Bruce Zimmerman and T.D. Mitchell, and will focus on Brigid Brannagh's character, Pamela Moran.
The new series would position Pamela as divorced from Chase, her elite "Delta Force" husband, and re-joining the ranks of her old Charleston, S.C. police force.
Last September, Lifetime posted a "Which 'Wife' Should Get a Spin Off'" thread on its message boards. Pamela and Sally Pressman's single mom/bartender "Roxy," were cited most often as the characters viewers would like to see on a new show.
Does this mean Roxy will be next? Stay tuned, true believers.
"Army Wives'" 4th season had a strong debut in April and, over the last two seasons, was the highest-rated original drama on basic cable within the coveted women 18-49 demographic.
