It seems like 60-75 % of the boards are barely used. Are any going to be taken away due to low interest ?

I think it is just a matter of people finding them, but I can see how people can see few posts on some of them and never visit them again - there is not a lot of incentive to post if you think people aren't going to read it.

I'd love to have more active boards for shows like Frasier, Friends, That 70's Show, or Seinfeld.. Some may eventually be 'cancelled' into one due to 'low ratings' but they are all here now to be used if people want to use them - you can't force people to post on them...

Who would have thought the Chico and the Man board would have like the 2nd largest amount of posts? It wouldn't have if TV Land didn't start airing it in January and there was a CATM page to draw people to it. There probably isn't more than 20-25 regular posters on there but they are very active and post about everything!

It's hard to explain why The Facts of Life board has so many posts while the Happy Days and Diff'rent Strokes sites get 300-400 more people than the FOL site daily.. I guess some shows are just more conducive to discussion..

A lot of the shows you just mentioned have very popular boards on the "official" sites and other fan sites dedicated to just one show. So it might be that people are posting on other boards which are more active than those. Who knows, though????

Yes, that is exactly right Meg. It would be very hard for me to compete with the official and other fan site boards for 'Friends' when I have no 'Friends' site to draw traffic to mine. I'm not complaining though, I'm happy with what I have but would always want to see some of the other boards really take off.

All the most popular boards you see here I have sites or mini pages to draw traffic to them.

I always wondered how the Facts of Life could get that many posts too. Also, I think that the Happy Days Message Board isn't getting that many posts because it's mostly trivia.
But the FOL board has very dedicated posters.. AFter I posted a thread there, I got about 12 responses in one hour. The FOL survivor was the most popular survivor on this board.
Also when shows haven't been on syndication in along time, people don't know about them. I don't even know what The Flying Nun was.

Jack: I'm surprised at you. Where would all the great women of history be if they thought like that!? Look at Joan of Ark and wht she accomplished. And, and Florence Nightengale and Madam Curry.
Chrissy: And Lucretia Borzok.
Janet: She posioned people.
Chrissy: Yeah, but she was very goo at it.

I'm one of them! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif LOL... I think FOL has the title of the most popular board... 2583 or so posts and 53 pages? Last time I looked yesterday there were only 35 pages on the board, now 53... man! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

Love is patient and kind, it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs; love is not happy with evil but with the truth. Love never gives up, and its faith, hope, and patience never fail. Meanwhile these three remain: faith, hope and love, and the greatest of these is love.

18, 817 just now in the FOL thread. It doesn't have to do with more posts, it increased on all of the boards. Less topics are posted on each page now.

I know I've posted a good 750-something posts on the FOL board, with about the biggest majority of the rest divided between Chit Chat, the FOL Fan fic, and the ALF boards. I just started coming to this board a week ago.

I'd like to see more postings in the BRITCOM section as I'm interested to know what you guys think of our stuff, good or bad!

Also the Three's Company board is the 3rd largest 70's board (After Chico and the Man and Happy Day). It has some 25-30 regular posters but they too are very dedicated. I'm one of them.

As for 90's Sitcoms, I know that "The Naked Truth" and "Ned & Stacey" are hardly, if ever, used. :happyface :happyface :happyface

I have noticed that the Cheers board has increased its number of posters over the last couple of weeks. The Frasier board will go into spurts of a lot of posts to no posts at all. The same goes for the Taxi board.

My feeling is, if you post it, they will come.

TJ, you are right about one thing, it definitely helps a board if the show is in syndication on places like N@N and TVLand.

I'm very proud of the Saved By The Bell board!

A couple of weeks ago I felt like as if I was the only one posting there... but recently MANY people have began posting!

Full House... you better watch your back!:D

I think those UPN sitcoms have the least posts.
