I recall it on WGNX in Atlanta around 1989-1990, I have some promos for it on some Happy Days episodes I have taped from that period.

I remember seeing Private Benjamin on KPLR in St. Louis during the late 80s.

It was on sometime in the '80s on channel 13 in the Seattle
Tacoma area.

Would it be possible for me to get a copy of the promos of the
Private Benjamin show that you have?

I haven't seen it since the mid '80's. I hate when critics give it a thumbs down. It has a style all it's own, & shouldn't be criticized because it's not exactly like the film. It is a series, for cryin' out loud, not a film, & the formula worked well. It was very entertaining, & i used to watch it every monday night. Faithfully. I loved singing along to the theme, & wish it were on again. It's nice to see some of you remember it, as well. Cassie

Private Benjamin aired on KTVU (channel 2) in the Bay Area. The last time I saw it was in 1990 when the San Francisco Giants had a rain delay.

I've never seen this show, but would like to. I've never even seen the Goldie Hawn movie! Eileen Brennan and Hal Williams were in both the TV show and movie.

Lorna Patterson, in the lead role, is probably best known as Randy the stewardess in Airplane. She is married to Michael Lembeck, who played Mackenzie Phillips' husband in One Day at a Time. He also has directed the last two Santa Clause movies.

It's two bad a station doesn't air it today but I guess since it only had 39 episodes that might be why although it was syndicated a lot in the 1980's. I think it was very underrated show and Lorna Patterson and Eileen Brennan were great together.

If it ever comes to DVD or gets aired in my area, I'll watch it.

I haven't seen it since it originally aired. It was a pretty fair show, wonder why it didn't last longer than it did?

I love the movie and I liked the show. Weren't at least two girls from the movie in the series as well?

I know Eileen Brennan and Hal Williams were in both. Not sure of anyone else.

I think at least two of the girls from the movie were in the series, I can't remember their character names, but I think the black actress was on the show.

I think Lucy Webb who was on the show, may have been in the movie also.
The black girl, I think her name was Damita Jo Freeman.

I haven't seen this show since it was on WGN Superstation many years ago.
All these channels and all we get are more stupid reality shows. Meanwhile stuff rots in the vaults.

I'm not sure if this show aired in Australia during the 80s, but I don't recall ever seeing an episode of it here... I wouldn't mind watching it now (and back then), because I do like the movie it's based on...
