Character changes-

As the series progressed,which characters changed and which stayed pretty much the same?I'll start:In the beginning,Mr.Kimball went from being pretty smart,(in some first season episodes),to downright dumb in the latter seasons.Throughout the series,Oliver went from being real nice in one episode,to being crabby in another(he didn't ALWAYS act like a grouch).Can you think of any other characters BESIDES the ones I've mentioned that went through a change as the series went on?

From beginning to end, it seemed like Oliver and Lisa switched roles. Our first time seeing Oliver, he is rushing into buying a farm and has his wife move into an old broken down house and is convinced that everything will work out, while, Lisa is grumpy, doesn't understand why things are working out the way that they are, wants to just get up and leave. Later on, Lisa begins to be happier where she's at and Oliver is grumpy with how things work out.

Another change is that Lisa gets progressively dumber. She starts out reasonably smart, she knows what the house is missing and questions some of Oliver's rushing into farming. She might have been horrible in the kitchen, but that is to be expected of one that has never had to have even set foot in one before.

One character that seemed to stay pretty much the same was Eb. Sure, there were a few minor changes, I can't pick them out at the moment, but in six years there has to be at least one minor change.

Another one who changed was Fred Ziffel.In lots of episodes,he acted friendly towards the Douglas's(BOTH of them,Oliver and Lisa.)But in the latter episodes,he acted less friendly towards Oliver and more friendly towards Lisa.Arnold the pig was the same way.
