Well, we sometimes felt guilty about enjoying Nip/Tuck so much. All the gratuitous sex, hot bodies and unbounded narcissism could be a bit of an indulgence.
But while Nip/Tuck, on the surface, was a flashy treat of soft-core porn, operatic slasher movies and trashy soap operas, it did speak to our society's fixation with appearance.
The show was strange, but it wasn't stupid.
Nip/Tuck ends its run on FX with a perfect, in symmetrical terms, 100th episode tonight at 10PM ET.
The series, created by Ryan Murphy (Glee), debuted in 2003 and racked up its share of Emmys and Golden Globes by following the travails of plastic surgeons Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh) and Christian Troy (Julian McMahon).
We present here some of the series' most infamously vulgar and misogynistic moments -- and a few that showed its smarts.
