We got alot done today. Got our most important stuff in storage, and got the Uhaul and it's cost out of our hair finally. My bro is relieved. Between work, an ended relationship, and helping us out, he's been stressed. Hopefully he can focus on himself now. Still a tough task ahead, but good to get a huge chunk of it out of the way. One trial down, about ten to go. Ahhh, progress.lol ;)

Thanks so much for the prayers everyone. I feel them working. My whole family does actually. :)

Brad, I'm very glad to hear that you haven't heard any voices in your head in 10 days but the fact that you heard them in the first place has me a little worried. :( I think you might see a psychiatrist. Even though I am a Catholic I don't believe in the devil, so this has me even more worried. You might even consider talking to a priest about the experiences you've been having. Good luck, my friend. :)

Hey Mike, I appreciate that. I actually do see a psychiatrist, as well as a therapist, as well as a counselor. My ex calls it Team Brad. lol I heard voices for about a year and a half. They tormented me day and night, saying Bad bad Brad, poor poor Brad, you are the worse person in the history of the world, You're worse than Hitler, and so much more. At it's worse, I'd hear five to eight voices at once, all mocking me, and telling me to kill myself, and that my friends and family hated me. They would get most mad when I'd mentioned Jesus, and how He died to save me from going to hell. I was in the mental hospital five to ten times in an 8 month span, and tried overdosing on pills a few times. Even put in a hot padded cell in isolation many times. I respect your beliefs, but I wholeheartedly believe in hell. Afterall, if there wasn't a hell, then what did Jesus die to save us from? I was taken there many times in visions. Thrown in fire, boiling water, given boiling water showers, hacked with a machete by demons, just to name a few. That was paradise compared to the mental torture they put me through. I know this isn't the place for it, so I'll just leave it at that, but I'm writing a few books about my experiences, and will be posting alot of it on Facebook as well if anyone is interested. Many thought the voices were from the meds, but that's not true since I heard them up to 6 months after giving up the drugs, both prescription, and recreational. The best part, it's now been almost a month since I last heard voices, and my quality of life is so much better. :)

I had a mammogram last week. I always dread the waiting after medical tests. I'm afraid of bad news; hate when the phone rings and stuff. Today I got a letter that started off with, We are pleased to inform you that results of your recent mammography examination are negative.

It goes on to say how important thus test is, but really, all my eyes see are the two words, pleased and negative.

I feel very good tonight, and grateful to my friends and family. Many people know that me and my mom went homeless several months ago. I first went homeless in February. Fortunately, my brothers ex Melissa took me in and let me stay with her for two months. It amazed me how she went out of her way for me even with the drama her and my brother were going through. Not alot of people would do what she did, and it meant so much to me. I will treasure that time too, because It gave me the chance to bond with my niece Cyndel. I miss her morning wake up calls knocking on my door saying uncle Brad, uncle Brad, and her saying I love you.

For the last couple months I have mostly been on the streets, sleeping in parks and bushes, but half of the time I stay with people. Just got done housesitting for my ex Donna for five days and she lets me stay over once or twice a week. My brother lets me stay over often, but Carl has been the best to me. That's where I'm at now. He's struggling too since Paisley died, and is living in an infamous SRO, rittled with drugs and prostitution. He lets me stay here often and it means everything to me. May not be the greatest place in the world, but is paradise compared to sleeping in the park in the rain. He said to me the other day that it amazes him that a few years ago he couldn't stand me, but now we are best friends. I love him, and if not for him, I'd be alot worse of then I am.

Lastly, I feel good about the friends I have. My SO, and Facebook family. Tara, Kyle, Marv, Jude, Gene, Monika, Kelly, Neha, Crystal, Andrea, Phoebe, Tim, Sarah, Cathy, Chad, Billie, Kristen, Angela, and so many more. You guys have stuck with me, and loved me, and made this so much more bearable for me. I love you guys, and thank you so much for being there for me during some very tough times. I appreciate you all so very much!!! :) xoxoxoxo

Awesome news my friend, I'm very happy for you. You will be a great aunt, again!! :)

I feel pretty good today. A few days ago the manager of Carl's apartment complex said that he's moving, and offered me the new manager position. Not sure if I will take it or not, need to look more into it, but was very honored that he would have confidence in my abilities, and see me fit to do the job. Said he knew I didn't take crap from anyone, and was confident that I could clean the place up a bit. Definitely a big confidence boost for me!

I had a woman here today, cleaning my home. She's very nice. She's from Haiti, and has been here for four years. She's studying to be a nurse. She's 29, has an eight year old son. Her ex was abusive, and she spent time in a battered womens' shelter. I knew her life situation within the first hour I met her, lol.

I've never had anyone clean my home before, but it's just too difficult for my husband and I to do it now. The best news is that we don't have to pay for it. It's part of a program to keep seniors and disabled people in their homes. She left a little while ago. She did a fantastic job; fast as lightning. When I was told that the person would clean for three hours a week, I thought that wasn't much, but she blasted through the place.

Next week, she's just going to dust and vacuum, and then cook a dinner from her homeland. She told me what to buy, and said she'll bring the spices from home. She'll cook, join us for dinner, then clean up, lol. My husband said that he's never seen anyone make friends with total strangers the way I do. He then brought up the time I was playing the piano with the cable guy about 15 years ago; that simple duet, Heart and Soul. Nice day today. :)

Remember last fall, when I got transferred to a different town for work for 2.5 months and became fast friends with the store manager (at the time) while I was there? One of the reasons we hit it off so fast was because she knew sign language... etc etc. Well, she was in the process of applying for a different job within the same company. About a week after I had started working there, she got an offer for that job and she accepted it. She had her last day at that store the week before Thanksgiving and moved away (to another state) over Thanksgiving weekend.

The noise I heard the other night was thankfully just a stray cat that was on top of my patio cover walking around. I asked one of the people over the townhouse association if they could please check the security camera. They reported bakc that it was stray cat and then when my kitchen light was turned on it got scared. It sounded so weird the way it was walking/dragging across it. I'm so glad it wasn't a person trying to do anything bad.

Allison, that sounds like a blast! :jig:

I pulled out the adoption paperwork I have on my cat Romeo. His original name was Tommy. I was trying to remember his exact DOB. It's funny how on the paperwork it claims he was born 4/16/08, but on the same paperwork, more than once, it says he was seven months old in September when I got him. The math doesn't add up, lol. He must have been born in February. It's hard to believe he will be 5 years old on the 16th. :)

I was able to get quite decent tickets for Bob Seger's concert here in April. I didn't think I would have much luck since hometown concerts typically sell out pretty quickly.

I got my book from Amazon. It was supposed to arrive on the 20th. It's the one in my avatar, but I'll post it here in case I read this one day in the future, lol.

Michael, I love Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band. I saw them in concert about three or four times in the early 80s. That whole, Turn the Page, era. Have fun.

And Jenny, Happy Birthday to Romeo. :birthday:

Thanks, Janice! I've just seen him once on his 2011 tour, and he was great. His voice hasn't changed at all, and he can still put on a 2-hour show. But I do think his touring days will be winding down in the near future, so I want to see him while I still can.

Awww, happy (belated) birthday to Romeo! :D

I've been thinking lately about how the oldest of the two cats we have here is (Buddy). He was born sometime in May of 1998 and we got him in July of 1998, so he's going to be turning 15 in May. He may be getting pretty old now, but he's still my handsome old man, and he still acts the same as he did when he was a kitty. :)

I hope they find the culprit. Nothing worse that bad reactions to a pill. My doctore prescribed a muscle relaxer, Flerxeril. It put me on my butt. I was holding onto walls to get from one room to the next. At one point, I just about slept around the clock. I took a half a pill the next couple of nights, and it wasn't as bad, but still bad. I said to hell with this. No more. Talk about being too relaxed.

we had watched a bunch of episodes of The IT Crowd earlier this week, so when Robyn was freaking out because her X-Box wouldn't boot up I was teasing her and acting out Roy's troubleshooting techniques - complete with thick irish accent, "Have you tried turning it off and on again?" (by this time she's starting to get really mad) "Are you absolutely sure that it is plugged in?" (now shes literally screaming at me) - and I reached behind the thing it is sitting on and the ridiculously over-sized power adapter for the X-Box has fallen off the back of the thing and come unplugged - most likely due to a cat. So I roll my eyes at her and plug it back in and it comes on "I'll be down in the basement if you need anything else..."

there is a local urologist who is doing a TV spot where they actually advertise that if you come in for a vasectomy, you will be eligible to win tickets to see a Reds game !!

(i think that they should just give you the tickets for what they are taking - assuming that you'd even still want to go to a baseball game after that)
