It premiered tonight. It was only OK, but then it is only the first episode. I think it shows some promise. I'm so happy to see Ellen DeGeneres back on TV, I think she's great! It comes on again on Friday for those that care.

It was decent. To tell you the truth, I think it'll be the best new comedy of the year and that's not saying much! But it has promise. I'll give it a B for effort.:-)

I really, really wish I could see Ellen's new show but it probably won't get shown over here untill sometime next year. You guys will have to keep me up to date on how the show is progressing. Everything Ellen does is total genuis so this should be no different! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

I thought it was sad! But this is only the first episode almost every shows first episodes suck. We'll see later in the season though.

I taped it. I thought for a pilot, it kind of sucked. There were a fewfunny moments, but not that much of a situaion happening. Ellen is trying to look for a book that she wants to read and befriends someone who is suspended from school. I hope it gets better. I think it is a 2001 version of "Bette." I like Ellen De Generes' humor, but in this one, I couldn't wait till the end credits rolled. I hope that it gets better.

Oh, man, it was 10 times better than "Bette", but that's not saying much, seeing how "Bette" was a total zero. But for just one episode, it was allright. I liked the gay jokes, like Ellen's bedroom decked out in all woman posters to which she says to her mom "Had no clue, huh Mom?", or the stuff with the lez gym teacher. I'll give it a couple more eps. to see where it goes.

The Ellen Show is okay, but what really ruins this series is that the writers of the scripts give Ellen really nothing to work with...Ellen can make up something in her crazy mind in 5 seconds, and make it funny, but when she has to read exactly what the script tells her...it's just not funny anymore. Cloris Leachman and Martin Mull...2 excellent performers who can only be funny if they have a person like Mel Brooks, or the people who did MTM, wrote it. On a scale of 1-10, I give this series a 4. I'm sorry Ellen, but you don't have enough to work with, and the atmosphere is only fair for your quailties that are great...but don't show in this series.
