On the 18th of last month, I started a thread titled "An Ad For Sears". This was really just one more attempt to stimulate some conversation about this fine series! I do this on a lot of pages of this site. You see, when I ran out of things to say about the show, I wrote about an ad that appeared on the opening page. I found a very remote way of tieing what the ad was for with the reality of the series. Like most of my threads, this one got no responses. In any event, the last three pages that I came to before I came here all featured an ad for Post Raisin Bran! They all had the same slogan too. It had to do with feeding your kids the arts. My guess would be that it has something to do with saving box tops and redeeming them for art related equapment in the schools. Because I do not eat rasin bran and do not have any children, I never highlighted the add to read what it was all about. Writing about it here is simply one more attemt (that will probably be fruitless) to liven things up! The last sentence that I wrote was originally going to be my last sentence of the thread. However, while writing it, I thought of a very amusing double-meaning! I said that my effort will probably be fruitless and a raisin is a type of fruit!
