~I posted this question a while ago and didn't recieve any answers. I was wondering if maybe now someone has an update. This segment really intrigued me.~

I saw a segment today that was about an investigative journalist named David Casalero. He was investigating members of the Department of Justice involved in illegal actitivies related to a computer program tey used and illegally sold to Canada. Anyway, He was in West Virignia to meet with a few of his contacts in the case, and was later found dead in his bathtub. His wrists were slit 12 times, but it was later concluded that he must have been murdered, since none of his hundreds of documents on the investigation were found. It is said that he was very very close to cracking the case.
I was wondering if anybody had any updated information on this case, if they found anybody conected to his death, etc.

That particular segment was rerun a month or two ago, but there's no update on it. So in other words, Danny Cassalero's death is officially unsolved.

Hope this helps.

I found that segment to be very interesting as well. Unsolved Mysteries first mentioned Dan Casolaro on a different case. The one with the Arizona journalist named Don Deverox that has been investigating the Charles Morgan case. Deverox agreed to show Casolaro some information that he had found about Morgan, but before he could even mail his research, Casolaro was dead.

Here is some info about Casolaro's death....

Danny Casolaro is considered one of the many victims on Bill Clinton's "Death Watch" because he and so many others had deaths related to his administration....
